Banana Bread With Chocolate Chips
I must confess, to my shame, that I didn’t know banana bread before or at least I can’t remember it. Last week I found an article of seasalt with food in my reeder which should familiarize me with this delicious bread.
Although it doesn’t contain much condiments it has a complex flavor and tastes very good for which reason I’ll surely bake it again. For a banana bread with chocolate chips you need the following condiments:
225gram flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp baking soda or natron
3 bananas (about 635 gram)
1/2 cup (80 gram) brown sugar
1/3 cup (75 gram) melted butter
1 tbsp dark rum
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
3 tbsp yogurt
1/2 cup (100 gram) melted bittersweet chocolate
At first you have to preheat the oven to 180˚C or 350˚F. After that you have to butter a loaf pan and mix the flour, natron, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Now you have to mash the bananas and mix them up with sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, the yoghurt and rum in another bowl.
Now you mix the Ingredients in the larger bowl and pour in the melted chocolate. Skim the mixture in the buttered loaf pan and bake it for about 60 to 70 minutes respectively until the top of the bread is golden brown. Take the banana bread out of the oven and cool it for 10 minutes before you remove it from the pan. At least you just have to wait before the bread is entirely cooled.
